The pre-conference offers two full day options:
SET-BC Presents “Considerations around vision technology”. Reviewing major categories of vision technology, including 7 stations, each showcasing a technology piece. Participants will explore how students could best be served by which model. Stations to include video magnifiers, Braille notebooks, etc tools for math and science, iPads (how and why). This will be very hands-on day for teachers. The day will end with 'Appy Hour' - an opportunity to share great apps for supporting our students. Limited registration to 35 participants.

Jennifer Elgie Presents 'Teaching Social Thinking does not equal teaching Social Skills' - The importance of teaching the skill of thinking socially to students who are blind or who are visually impaired and on the autistic spectrum. Limited registration to 30 participants.
